OK, I think we may have heard enough of the cat lovers' waxing poetic about their feline friends, so let's give the dog lovers out there some equal time. I will say right up front the I LIKE, not LOVE, cats, they are cool in a detached, "if it weren't for the food, i'd be out of here" kind of way (reminds me a few roomates I've had in my time). Many may argue that dogs are just slobbering simpletons, but having had both dogs AND cats over the years, I'd go with a slobbering simpleton over a detached meatloaf any day of the week, but that's just me. True, cats are very cool to observe while wigging; but when toasted, a dog is the perfect companion. Right now I've got a Boston Terrier and another one of disputed lineage, they are my buds, love kids, and always are psyched when I get home at the end of the day (even when my wife isn't). Cat and Dog people can argue with one another until blue in the face, much like Keith and Brent people can go at it for a long time, but I believe whichever side you fall on, or even both in some cases, we can all agree that our pets are important parts of our lives.

in the mid 70's a friend of mine had a pet Dingo. He thought it was cool that the Dingo could climb tree's and fences. Cool until he found out that his Dingo really-really liked the neighborhood cats...

Here's our current collection 2 cats maybe 5 and 3 Cozmo and Rambo and our rescue pup Melba who's almost 3. We've had her about 6 months, came from a bad homelife and is coming around to be a wonderful and faithful mutt. Waits hours at the door for me when I leave. Funny dingos were mentioned as I tell people she's a lab dingo mix (see the ears and I didn't know about climbing trees- are you serious- cause she tries like hell to chase squirrels up trees. I think if she found one with low enough limbs she could do. Never cared for cats. Always had a dog as a kid. My wife was a cat owner when I met her, and I've come around to them quite a bit. They can be quite affectionate, but lousy to play frisbee with in the park!

serious as a heart attack! He cured his Dingo's uh, taste for cats, when he made him wear one around his neck for a few rotten weeks. Yup, he could climb a tree easily and stuck to rats with bushy tail's-squirrels there-on.

ive got my share of cats and dogs, 2 and 1 respectively, i dont like the cats, they seem retarded, but my dog is playful and makes me laugh all the time, it does funny things like chase me and then slip and fall (its a small maltese). The funny thing is everyone thinks of maltese's as "girly" dogs. Mine is a boy and he looks cool/funny/cute

I love 'em both, maybe a little more of a dog person though. My Booboo is a 13 1/2 yr old black shepherd lab mix, starting to fade but still very lovable. Had a German Shepherd my ex gave away 2 1/2 years ago, He would be 7 1/2 now. I got him when he was 8 weeks old, didn't even get to say goodbye, that still hurts!

I'll bite.

Two corgis, which are great dogs; love music (I think), indestructable, and loyal to a fault.

Hey, Bob loved(-s?) dogs, so it can't be too off topic...

My family had a string of Corgis in the 60's and 70's before switching to Labs. Still love Corgis, my terrier reminds me very much of them: small, fast and totally insane. Love 'em.

I LOVE corgis. I've had Norton for fours years and he's simply the best dog I've ever had. And YES, they do love music. I practice for about an hour every night anf he MUST be in the same room. Norton has actually howled along with Donna on some 78 S>F.
